Because, when energy is spent, it’s coupled with a cost

Both sides of the equal sign are tugging on each other

Adding and subtracting, swapping one thing for another

You see, energy exists so that we can give and take it

It can never be destroyed, and none of us can make it

What we have inside of us gets transferred through the air

Which brings about the question of what we want to share

Energy is light, and it’s looking for a carrier

Strength is not an issue, but resistance is a barrier
